Does Tepper School offer loans and scholarships?
MBA scholarships and fellowships are offered for both full-time and part-time students. Students presumed worthy of scholarships are told at the time of admission offer without needing to submit any additional documents except as follows. This applies also to US citizens, permanent residents, and international applicants.
Tepper MBA Scholarship
All full-time and part-time MBA students are eligible for a Tepper School Scholarship when they are admitted on merit. Currently, there is no application for the scholarship, but one can download it online. The Tepper School MBA Scholarship recipients are informed once admitted to the University.
Tepper School Forté Scholarship
Forté is part of a small group of schools and corporations collaborating with the Tepper School to promote women in business. An exemplary student selected for MBA admissions will also be awarded a Forté Fellowship funded by the Tepper School. This fellow will be endowed with this influential scholarship and enjoy exclusive benefits such as skills development workshops, leadership conferences, networking opportunities, job postings, etc. Any student, regardless of gender, may apply to become a fellow of Forté.
Tepper School Consortium Fellowship
Tepper School is a member of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, the Tepper School of Business works with over 80 corporate partners and 20 other excellent business schools. The goal is to increase the campus and corporate diversity in business education and management by decreasing African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans’ nearly non-existent representation in member schools and Fortune 1000 organisations within various enrollment and corporate management levels. All applicants who gain a place through The Consortium and are accepted into The Tepper School will receive this full-tuition merit fellowship for two years of full-time study at tuition and required fees for the MBA program. These fees are awarded based on merit as they cover the entire period. Consortium Fellowships, primarily funded by The Tepper School of Business, grant access to American citizens or U.S. permanent residents of any race or ethnicity who can demonstrate a commitment to The Consortium’s mission.
Tepper School Yellow Ribbon
Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business, Yellow Ribbon Program. Fully qualified Veterans with 100 per cent Post 9/11 GI Bill eligibility are eligible for participation in the program. Active Duty and spouses can avail themselves of the transfer entitlement in the Yellow Ribbon program. Once a VA certifying official at Carnegie Mellon establishes a student’s eligibility, the financial aid office of the Tepper School of Business will determine the amount of Yellow Ribbon eligibility for that student.
The Tepper School provides funding through its Yellow Ribbon Matching Funds Program to assist up to 30 eligible veteran students. Our participation level in the Yellow Ribbon program allows us at the Tepper School to assume 100 per cent of the gap between allowable costs and Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits for participating students, not to exceed $23,819 through the Tepper School’s Yellow Ribbon Matching Fu program.
Tepper School Reaching Out Fellowship
Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) is a campus organisation that educates and inspires business students to be change agents within classrooms and work settings. The Reaching Out MBA Fellowship has been designed in partnership with top business school programs and Reaching Out to prove that business schools present great opportunities for LGBTQ and active allies at the beginning of their careers. LGBTQA Fellowship recipients will receive at least $10,000 in scholarships from Tepper School per academic year, as well as various Reaching Out programming, mentorship and LGBTQA leadership opportunities, all of which are to be developed specifically for these fellows. Fellows are encouraged to lead at least one ROMBA event during their time in business school and to contribute by engaging with admissions efforts for his/her/their MBA program. In addition, the Reaching Out MBA Fellow designation is available to outstanding LGBTQ candidates and their active allies who are awardees of any merit-based scholarship from Tepper School.
