Scholarships

  • Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Best Project Scholarship for the Academic Year 2024/25: Post-secondary students from a University/ College, Institution of Vocational Education, or Training Academy are invited to apply for the OSH Best Project Scholarship valid for 2024/25. The scholarship urges tertiary students to participate in occupational safety and health projects (OSH) and contribute solutions or suggest best OSH practices for Hong Kong. Qualified candidates will receive scholarships and prizes between HK$4,000 and HK$20,000 if the budget allows and the applications are strong.

  • Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Programs for 2026 Entry: Application period for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Programs for 2026 Entry is open until 5:00 pm, 11 June 2025 (Wednesday). Under the Scholarship, eligible Hong Kong and Macau students can receive help studying at a Japanese university or Specialized Training College in the Japanese Fiscal Year 2026.

  • Scholarships for Family Members of Registered Construction Workers 2025: After being launched by the Construction Workers Registration Board under the CIC, registration has begun for the Scholarships for Family Members of Registered Construction Workers. The scholarship has been established to honor students who have shown excellent results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education and have a parent, sibling, or legal guardian registered as a construction worker in Hong Kong. These Scholarships celebrate the labor of construction workers in building a green future for Hong Kong while helping young people succeed.

Financial Aid

  • FASP (Grant/Loan) and/or NLSPS (Non-means-tested Loan) 2025/26: All full-time local UGs admitted to accredited self-financing undergraduate programmes in HK with a degree award, who are currently in their final year in 2025/26, and have the right of abode in HK or have resided here for three full years before course entry (student visa holders are not covered).

  • TSFS (Grant/Loan) and NLSFT (Non-means-tested Loan) 2025/26: Full-time locally enrolled UGs1 and RPGs2 admitted to a UGC/publicly-funded programme in 2025/26, together with having either right of abode in Hong Kong or three years of relevant HK residential history before starting the course, are eligible.

Insuarance 

  • Voluntary Medical Insurance Plan for Local Students: Although you may get free primary care from the campus clinic, students on a full-time basis may also need other treatments such as consultations from specialists or hospital admission in unusual cases. Registered full-time local students at the University are invited to join an optional medical insurance plan.
